Books About BIRDS - just for kids (& the adults who adore them!)

Birds provide such an AMAZING springboard to wonder. When we wonder, we become wiser! Right?
Obviously, wondering about birds has influenced my writing.

Because I believe in the importance of birds - not just as a barometer for the health of our planet, but as a staple for enjoying nature and as an avenue for young children to get their wee and magnificent brains soaring - I've compiled a list of children's books that feature birds, below.

Feel free to drop me a line and share your favorites! Would love to hear from you!

Warmly,
Jennifer

HOW TO FIND A BIRD by Jennifer Ward, illustrations by Diana Sudyka (Beach Lane Books 2020)
Picture
About the Book
How do you find a bird? There are so many ways! Begin by watching. And listening. And staying quiet, so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. Soon you’ll see that there are birds everywhere—up in the sky, down on the ground, sometimes even right in front of you just waiting to be discovered!

Young bird lovers will adore this lushly illustrated introduction to how to spot and observe our feathered friends. It features more than fifty different species and a detailed author’s note provides even more information about birding for curious readers.
