Visits with Jennifer inspire readers & writers of all ages!
Let's talk books, nature, science, wonder and curiosity!
Let's talk about how hard (but wonderful) writing can be!
I wasn't a very skilled writer when I was young. I have the papers, report cards and books to prove it. Writing is hard. I struggled! Thank goodness for books. Books were my springboard.
Today? I am living my dream job writing stories for children. It's a job I love very much; I've always loved children's books, even before I could read the print on the pages.
I am a former educator, having taught grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade over many years.
While teaching, I met my first-ever-real-live author, who visited my school for an author visit. This visit inspired me to write my first published picture book, Way Out in the Desert.
I truly enjoy spending time with schools, supporting literacy and STEM education, getting students excited about "thinking" about writing and putting pen to paper and fingers to keypads.
If you're interested in a visit, simply reach out.
Warmly,
Jennifer
